What We Did
Brand Revitalization, Visual Identity
Doosan Group, one of South Korea's centennial corporations, with a focus on cutting-edge robotics and eco-friendly industries, spanning from heavy manufacturing to everyday consumer sectors, recognized the need for a more flexible transformation of its corporate image. However, they also aimed to preserve the existing group identity in the face of these changes. studio lajah undertook the enhancement of the group's CI design system.
대한민국 백년기업 중의 하나인 두산그룹은 첨단의 로봇 기술과 친환경 산업에 집중한 중공업에서 생활 소비 영역까지 커버하는 그룹의 특성상 그룹의 이미지를 좀 더 유연하게 변화할 필요성을 느끼고 있었습니다. 기존 그룹의 아이덴티티를 계승하면서도, 기업의 역동적이면서도 긍정적 이미지를 위해 스튜디오라자는 그에 대한 그룹 CI의 시각적 정체성의 재정립을 통한 개선작업을 진행 하였습니다.

Centennial Heritage
The existing symbol-type logo that the Doosan Group has been using since 1996 has held its position as a symbol of the group, while the symbol-removed English wordmark has been utilized in a functional and aesthetically pleasing manner, reflecting the group's forward-looking image and practical use. Therefore, to unify the disparate images of the two group logos into a single English wordmark and re-establish the identity considering the group's representativeness and symbolism, a plan has been devised.
두산그룹이 1996년부터 사용해 온 기존 심볼 타입의 로고는 그룹의 상징으로서의 위상을 가지고 있었고, 반면 심볼을 제거한 영문 워드마크는 기능적, 심미적 트랜드를 추구하며, 그룹의 미래지향적인 이미지를 반영한 실질적인 사용으로 활용되고 있었습니다. 이에 이질적인 두 가지 그룹 로고의 이미지를 영문 워드마크로 일원화하며, 그룹의 대표성과 상징성을 고려한 정체성을 재확립하도록 기획하였습니다.

Using a wordmark-style logo, choosing the right main color for the group is crucial. This color should represent the group, express its identity, and stay in tune with current trends. So, understanding what the color signifies is a vital task in this project.
